Havana 59: Tres Leches Recipe


Ingredients:
¾ cup Butter
1-1/2 cups Sugar
9 Egg Yolks
1 teaspoon Vanilla (2 beans)
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 cup Milk
9 Egg Whites
1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar

For Soak:
2 cups Heavy Cream
5 oz Evaporated Milk
14 oz Sweet Condensed Milk

Whipped Cream Ingredients:
2 cups Heavy Cream
1 cups sugar

Procedure:
Preheat Oven to 350.Cream the butter and sugar till fluffy. Add yolks one at a time, beating each well. Stir in Vanilla. Sift together flour and baking powder(pinch salt). Add dry mix alternating with milk, beating well after each addition. Whip whites and cream of tartar to stiff peaks, fold in. Bake for 25-30 min. Soak with cream mix and top with whipped cream.
