Serves: 10-12 people
Ingredients:
5 Chicken breasts
Bamboo skewers
Pinch Salt
Pinch Pepper
3 tablespoons Olive oil
2 cloves Minced garlic
1 teaspoon Ground ginger
1 cup Hoisin sauce*
3 teaspoons Cornstarch
1/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Sesame Seeds

Procedure:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut chicken breasts into 5 or 6 slices each and place bamboo skewer through each piece and place on a baking sheet.
Marinate chicken skewers with salt, pepper and olive oil.
Heat hoisin sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer.
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water to form a paste.
Add cornstarch mixture to simmering hoisin sauce and bring to a boil. This will thicken your sauce.
Once sauce is thick, turn off heat. Reserve sauce until chicken is done.
Bake chicken skewers in oven 15- 20 minutes or cook on grill until completely done.
Toss cooked chicken skewers with thickened hoisin sauce and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
Note:
Hoisin sauce is easily found in Asian grocery stores. Many American grocery stores also sell this sauce in the Asian food aisle.
