Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Dried Red Chiles
1 Cup Whole Fresh Pecans
1/4 Cup Molasses
1/4 Cup Honey
Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
2. Combine water, sugar and chiles in a small saucepan over high heat.
3. Bring to a boil.
4. Add pecans and return to a boil.
5. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Drain and place pecans on a baking sheet.
7. Place in preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Remove pecans from oven and pour into a small bowl.
9. Add molasses and honey and toss to coat.
10. Return nuts to baking sheet and place in oven.
11. Bake for an additional 45 minutes or until pecans are very crisp and crunchy, but not burned.
