Ingredients:
2 c. raisins
1 c. coffee
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 tsp. soda (dissolved into 1/2 c. warm water, mix well)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Procedure:
Place raisins, coffee, spices, sugar and margarine into a pan. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes; cool, then add soda dissolved in warm water, flour and baking powder. Spread into a greased 10x16 jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until done. Cool and frost.
Carmel Frosting:
1/4 c. margarine
1/3 c. cream
1 1/3 c. powdered sugar
Directions:
Combine margarine, cream and brown sugar and bring to a boil for 1 minute, then cool. Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Stir till creamy and frost bars.
