Ingredients:
2 3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. melted margarine
6-10 lg. strawberries
1 lg. banana
1 tsp. vanilla
1- 9-inch baked pie shell
Cool Whip
Yellow food coloring
Waxed paper
Procedure:
Put first 4 ingredients in a heavy sauce pan. Mix well. Begin cooking on medium heat and bring to boil while stirring. Continue stirring while mixture boils for 1 minute. Remove from heat, add vanilla and stir. Slice banana and arrange slices in bottom of pie shell. Pour filling over the banana and cover with wax paper. Chill. Before serving, remove waxed paper and place sliced strawberries on top of filling. Top with Cool Whip and serve. This is a customer favorite. They call ahead to save their slice.
