Ingredients:
2 lbs 80 /20 Ground Chuck
1/2 cup Cracked Black Pepper
1 TBSP Sea salt
4 Slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
8 Slices Cooked Applewood Smoked Bacon
4 Hamburger Buns
Butter – For toasting
1 Head Iceburg Lettuce, Shredded
1 Large Vine Riped Tomato, Sliced
2 Large Yellow or Sweet Vidallia Onions
2 TBSP Olive Oil
1/2 cup A1 Steak Sauce
1/2 TBSP Mixed Herb Seasoning
1/2 TBSP Sea Salt
Onion Procedure:
1. Heat a saute pan to medium high heat and add the oil.
2. Cut the onions into 1/4 inch slices and add to the pan. Continue to cook on medium high heat until they are well caramelized and light brown in color.
3. Add the A1, herb seasoning and salt and stir until mixed through.
Burger Procedure:
1. Assemble four 8 oz burger patties with the ground chuck.
2. Mix together cracked black pepper and salt in shallow dish. Coat both sides of burgers with pepper / salt mixture and set aside.
3. Grill burgers over medium high heat until just under the desired temperature.
4. Top burgers with sliced cheddar cheese and continue grilling until cheese is melted evenly.
5. Remove burgers from grill and let rest.
6. Butter both sides of hamburger buns and toast on grill until golden brown.
7. Remove buns from grill and top with burger, 1/4 each of sauteed onions, bacon, tomato and shredded lettuce.
