Crab Cakes Recipe - Chef Marian Getz

Makes 2 cakes

Ingredients:
1 slice bread, crusts removed, torn into small pieces
8 ounces jumbo lump fresh crab meat
1 green onion, minced
1 tablespoon bell pepper, minced
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning, if desired
2 teaspoons olive oil, for cooking

Procedure:
1. Gently combine all ingredients, except olive oil, in a large mixing bowl.
2. Form mixture into 2 patties.
3. Place in refrigerator and chill for 20 minutes.
4. Preheat Grill & Bake Express with grill plates.
5. Brush top and bottom of grill plates lightly with olive oil.
6. Place a crab cake on grill plates.
7. Close lid, and turn with spout toward drip pan.
8. Bake for 5 minutes using CRISP button.

Note: 
Grill & Bake Express is basically an electric grill with attachable waffle plates. If you don't own a Grill & Bake Express machine, try an ordinary grill.
