Serves: 6
Ingredients:
3 cans of your favorite canned baked beans or pork and beans
12 slices bacon
3 cups onion
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons dry mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
Cook bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside. Sauté onion in bacon grease until the onion starts to brown or caramelize. Add in garlic, brown sugar, molasses, ketchup, dry mustard, and reserved crumbled bacon. Bake, covered, at 300 degrees for 4 hours, uncovering the pot after 3 hours.
