La Bottega: Parmesan Artichoke Crostini Spread


Total Time: 25 minutes.

Ingredients:
3 oz (85 g) soft cream cheese
½ cup (120 mL) grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
¼ cup (60 mL) sour cream
½ cup (120 mL) marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
¼ cup (60 mL) sliced green or black olives
6 chopped pickled pepperoncini salad peppers
1 Tbsp (15 mL) chopped parsley
1 tsp (5 mL) grated lemon peel
4 Tbsp (60 mL) Nicastro Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1 Baguette

Procedure:
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Parmigiano cheese and sour cream. Stir in artichoke hearts, olives, pepperoncini, parsley and lemon peel.

Cut baguette into approximately 20 slices. Brush olive oil on one side. Place slices in oven for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.

Top toasted bread slices with spread and serve within 30 minutes.
