Ingredients:
1 cup water
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
1 cup fl our
5 eggs
½ cup cinnamon
½ cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
Chocolate sauce
Vegetable oil
Procedure:
[1] Pour water into a saucepan over high heat.
[2] Add butter, brown sugar, vanilla and salt until boiling.
[3] Add fl our all at once, then mix until it becomes a thick dough.
[4] Place mixture in a food processor and blend, adding eggs one at a time. Blend until glossy.
[5] Refrigerate for one hour.
[6] Heat oil to 375 degrees in a large pot or deep fryer. For pots, use enough vegetable oil to fill halfway.
[7] Place dough into a pastry bag, with a medium-sized tip.
[8] Carefully pipe dough – in short strips – into oil. Do not overcrowd.
[9] Fry until golden brown, turning over occasionally.
[10] Remove from oil, using a metal spoon or tongs. Drain on a paper towel. Repeat until dough is gone. [11] Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over warm churros.
[12] Serve with a side of your favorite chocolate sauce.
